Andy Dorsett

Hi and first of all thank you for dropping by.

My name is Andy Dorsett and I live in a small countryside village in Herefordshire with my two cats. My passion for photography started around 15 years ago when I brought my first film camera, today things have moved on a little and I use a Fuji XT3 mirrorless.

I also work in the TV industry as a survival, safety and expedition consultant www.remote-survival.com which has given me the chance to work in a number of countries including. America, Canada, Patagonia, Kazakhstan, Fiji, Mexico, Thailand and India. Traveling the world gives me the opportunity to capture an insight into people's lives and cultural experience through my photography as I strive to let all my photos tell a story.

I love visiting new countries, experiencing new cultures and sharing stories with the people I meet. We sometimes get so involved in our own lives that we don't see and appreciate how people live in other cultures.

When I'm home you can find me either walking

around some of our beautiful cities, hiking in the mountains or countryside with my camera always by my side.

One of the questions I get asked a lot is 'where is the most beautiful place you've been too?'  I've visited some truly beautiful countries but I still give the same answer, which is right here, the U.K.

Getting out and about and exploring new areas always reminds me of how beautiful our country really is.

In today's world we always have a camera on us, so take it out of your pocket and capture moments you can remember forever.
